Dr. Devon Hickam
Dr. Devon Hickam, D.C., is a dedicated chiropractor with a passion for helping others achieve optimal health and wellness. A proud native of Spokane, Washington, Devon graduated from Rogers High School before pursuing his education at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
Prior to attaining his Chiropractic degree, Devon worked in a variety of jobs that were physically demanding including building demolition and reconstruction, as an Emergency Medical Technician, a volunteer Firefighter, and in the oil fields of North Dakota, Texas, and Oklahoma. Working in these positions provided Devon with first-hand experience and knowledge of the “aches and pains” felt by those in physically demanding careers. These personal experiences inspired him to pursue chiropractic care, ultimately leading him to a career focused on healing and wellness through natural, holistic methods.
In 2006, Devon met his wife, and together they have two young energetic boys. Outside of his professional life, Devon enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially on the boat, golfing, or just tinkering around in the garage. Having an athletic background, Devon enjoys a physical challenge every now and then, and has competed in three Ironman competitions, and was the 2019 winner of the Bodybuilding.com Bodyfit Elite Challenge Series.
Devon’s passion is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients, and the enjoyment he holds in keeping them healthy and well. He has a particular interest in treating patients in a holistic manner, and targeting the source of pain and dysfunction as a first-line treatment, instead of
turning to drug therapies, which typically only mask the pain instead of addressing the root cause. Devon is committed to helping his patients live pain-free, active lives, drawing from his personal experiences and extensive education in chiropractic care.
